I create with intention and elegance. I seek real connections and am inspired by simplicity and authenticity. I organize, plan, manage, and make things happen. I find wonder in the outdoors, singing harmonies, and overcoming my fears. I bring ideas to life through design, helping creatives and businesses tell their brand stories with clarity and heart.

I took a winding road to get here—from arts administration and higher education to entrepreneurship, and now, communication design. Along the way, I’ve learned to lead, build, create, and grow.

Professional

I transitioned from a career in arts administration into entrepreneurship, co-founding Miel Beauty, where I led the brand identity, marketing, customer experience, and business operations. (2014)

I launched Water + Sky, a branding studio that helps lifestyle and wellness brands connect with their audiences through thoughtful, intentional design. (2017)

As a freelance designer, I work with clients to build brands and websites that align with their values and goals. Recently, I partnered with the Town of Caroline to redesign their website and create a fresh digital presence . (2024)

EDUCATION + GROWTH

I earned a Graphic Design Certificate from Shillington, a respected global design bootcamp. In a feature on Creative Boom, my portfolio was described as “full of stunning work… you can easily see her world experience reflected in its sophistication, thoughtfulness and precision.” (2021)

At the invitation of a Shillington instructor, I designed for her studio, Public House, which creates branding for food & beverage, hospitality, events and start-ups. One of my favorite projects was a brand refresh and rollout for a celebrated, Toronto-based monthly wine subscription (2022)

I completed the REV Passenger to Pilot program, a supportive network of entrepreneurial women around Ithaca, NY through mentorship, regular meetings, and workshops. This provided the foundation for growing Miel Beauty and unlocked insights, strategies, and courage I still use to this day. (2016)

PERSONAL HIGHLIGHTS

I co-founded Five2, a vocal group, with two talented women. We recorded an album released in the U.S. and Japan, with our music featured in TV shows and movies, even today... (2003)

I started downhill skiing a few years ago with my kids, and discovered that it's possible to try new, scary things as an adult... and even grow to enjoy them. (2020)
